East Midlands Airport at Gloworm

Summary

East Midlands Airport teams up with Thomas Cook to support this year’s Gloworm Festival at Thoresby Park in Nottinghamshire on 18th & 19th August.

While thousands of people are jetting off to beaches across Europe and further afield from EMA this summer, the airport is sponsoring its very own stretch of sand, but a bit closer to home.

Gloworm's Beach Zone includes a giant sandpit, a mini disco and Punch and Judy shows, while Thomas Cook's kids’ club mascots Lollo and Bernie will be on hand to join in with the entertainment and other fun activities.

The festival, now in its third year, is a family friendly event with live music, arts and crafts, fun fair rides, and familiar faces from children's TV.

EMA’s Travel Trade and Leisure Development Manager, Rachel Briody, said: “We’re delighted to support Gloworm which lands right in the middle of our busy summer season. We pride ourselves on being a family friendly airport and so it's great that we can support events such as these which make for a fun day out for families living in the region."
