JD Sports opens at East Midlands Airport

Summary

JD Sports opens at East Midlands Airport on Saturday 5 May

The new store will stock sports, footwear and clothing from brands such as Nike, adidas, The North Face, Under Armour, Vans and more. Prices will be 10% lower than the high street.

JD Sports nicely complements the existing retail offer which includes Accessorize, Dixons, Superdrug, Traveller, Cloud Spa and World Duty Free to name a few. Last month the airport unveiled a new Greggs in arrivals to offer more food and drink choice to passengers.

Chris Drury, Commercial & Operations Manager, says: “We’re delighted to welcome this well-known high-street sports retailer to the airport. There are few things worse than arriving at the airport on your way to warm sunny climes knowing that you’ve forgotten your swimwear, so there is now a solution to this problem. JD Sports will stock a wide range of products including swim, leisure and sportswear to cater for all holiday needs.”

Cliona McDonnell, JD Marketing, says: "JD are delighted to expand their portfolio and open at East Midlands Airport in time for the busy summer season."

East Midlands Airport’s 15 retailers offer a wide range of products as well as food and drink.

This summer passengers will fly from EMA to more than 80 destinations throughout Europe, the US and Mexico.
